tABLET PEN GOES HAYWIRE ON BOTH PHOTOSHOP/LIGHTROOM CC

When I used my tablet and pen (this is third tablet) the pen works sporadically and then goes weird and enlarges jumps around, and other frustrating things. I've stopped working on my art because of the frustration. any help???
