Annette Bökkerink do you receive any specific error messages?  Which operating system are you using?  What update are you attempting to apply?

Thank you, Jeff A Wright, for your reply.

(Mac system osx 10.9.5, after crashing the old mac i updated a new mac with a time machine backup.)

After a long time waiting for the hotline, i get help. (sorry, my english is not so good)

the updater  didnt work, no options are available, only the animated symbol, that means, the program was calculating (or charging is the right word?)

however. this is, what the helpline told me to do:

I turned off two file folder in the adobe library (AAAm updater  and OOBE) and install  a new application manager and then

the creative cloud installer. With the CC cleaner tool i turned off cc desktop and cc id creditials, i think before installing the app manager and

cc installer, sorry, dont remember exactly.

then it runs perfect.

Now there is another problem, i am still wondering how long it takes to install illustrator cc 2014. 12% takes 3 hours. the next 27 % takes 2 hours.

I think this unusual, or not?

thanks you for your feedback!

kind regards

Annette Bökkerink

Excellent thank you for the update Annette Bökkerink.  It is likely that previously you were affected by the error discussed in App doesn’t open | Progress wheel spins continually.

In regards to the download speed it is going to be dependent on your network?  Are you on a managed network?  You can check your download logs to see if any errors are occurring which could be slowing down the download process.  Information on how to locate the download logs can be found in Error downloading Creative Cloud applications.
