@In my case, the fix for the PSE 13 update to 13.1 was a long, trial and error, arduous process.  After a month of forum investigation, a customer care representative contacted me. ALL Adobe software had to be removed from the computer and then the PSE13 was re-installed (a clean installation). This wiped all my catalogs, database tags, etc. and was done without considering if I had backups. After four hours of online and telephone assistance, the upgrade was successfully installed. I have been left with a ton of work to re-install the software and databases that were un-installed. I don't think all the effort to get the upgrade was worth all the time and effort expended. Surely a better and more thoroughly-tested software design for the update could have made life simpler for everyone involved.

HI Meg576,

Can you please share copy and paste the log summary you generated in Solution 4 (Troubleshoot Adobe Creative Suite install issues with log files‌)? This may help us pinpoint the cause of the U44M1P7 error.

Hi Del,

I have posted the error log as you requested. Do you have any idea why the update to PSE 13.1 is failing?  I have tried all the above suggestions. It is very annoying to be reminded every time I use the program to update it. But the update fails and the viscous cycle repeats..Please help.
