To cancel without fees is it 14 days after my subscription starts or 14 days before it is due to be renewed?

I was given 2 months of the photography plan with something I purchased. I thought it was just an extended trial version not an actual subscription.

When I realised it was a one year subscription paid monthly I noticed in the terms and conditions before signing up it said: "If you cancel within 14 days of your contract renewal, you won't be charged a cancellation fee," My contract renewal is due May 1st 2018, so I assumed it I cancel 14 days before then I won't get charged.

However when I look on the adobe website I cannot find anything worded similar to this term. There is something that says "If you cancel within 14 days of your initial order, you’ll be fully refunded." So do I have to cancel 14 days from the start of my subscription (March 1st 2018) to not be charged?

Sorry for the confusing question that probably has an obvious answer. I just don't want to end up getting charged cancellation fees if I choose not to continue using the software.
