Totally frustrated with Adobe today!

I have been using CS3 since I bought it in 2008. It's all I need, I don't need to upgrade, I am fully satisfied with CS3 and I get my work done with it.

This morning, I went to open PhotoShop and I received a message that my license had an issue and I needed to uninstall and reinstall.

I have been working all day to get my software working again and I cannot get it installed.

Chat Support referred to the following process (Windows 10):

1) Uninstall through Control Panel.

2) Run Cloud Cleaner

3) Delete a cache file.

I have done everything except delete the cache file. Whenever I try, I get an error that the file is corrupted. I don't know if this is what is preventing the install - maybe it is - but I've followed everything they told me to do - and I cannot get my software reinstalled.

I have missed an entire day of work and I can't afford to miss another day. Is there anyone who can help me?

Thank you.

Finally got it installed. When I uninstalled, everything inside CS3 was deleted. But Acrobat was still there by itself, so I deleted Acrobat. Then, I went into regedit and deleted all occurrences of Adobe (under Software).

Then, I installed one program at a time.

Commonwealthm41074360, sorry for the frustration you are facing with reinstalling Creative Suite 3.  As Gener7 indicated in post #1, you will need to use the new installation files.  From your original post, it appears you may be stuck on trying to delete the cache.db file.  It is necessary to remove this file to use the non-activating version of Creative Suite 3 successfully.  You can find complete details regarding the process at Resolve "temporary activation expired" error for CS3 and Acrobat 8 .

Please update this public forum discussion if you continue to face errors. You may want to consider posting a screenshot of any errors or questions that you may have.  For information on how to post a screenshot see FAQ: How do I capture and post a screen shot or video? , Commonwealthm41074360.

If your time is important, it may be wasting it to try to run this ancient software on a system it was not made for. Windows 10 is constantly changed by Microsoft, so apps that worked one day may fail the next; only current versions of apps will be changed to match the pace of change in Windows 10. Once you're on the Windows 10 bandwagon, expect to have to constantly update all your apps. I don't like it either.

See this: Activation or connection error when starting CS3 or Acrobat 8

Basically the activation servers are closed for CS3. Your original serial number and disc will not install a working copy of CS3 ever.

Adobe will provide an activation free CS3 with a new serial number. Just carefully follow the instructions.
