Transfer CS5.5 to new Macbook Pro

I have bought a new Macbook Pro, with no DVD Drive. I want to install my Adobe Creative Suite Design Standard CS5.5 on it, which is already installed on my iMac, and it came on DVD. Do I need to deregister/uninstall on my iMac first (before Migrating everything else to my new Macbook), then just download CS5.5 and reinstall on my new Macbook? Is that all there is to it or am I missing something?

I also read somewhere that CS5.5 isnt supported in Mavericks or Yosemite? What exactly does this mean? It has been running fine on my iMac which has Mavericks

Many thanks

David

You may try installing CS 5.5 on OS X 10.9 or 10.0 .

It is not like, it will not work at all   , most of the cases it works fine.

It is just , the product is not tested against latest version Mac OS .

If you face any issue , feel free to post .

We can check and see whether the issue can be fixed .
