Transfering a Student and Teachers Edition CS5.5 to a new computer

I have the CS5.5 Student and Teacher's Edition installed on my laptop and recently bought a new computer. I would like to transfer the license. I read in the forums, that educational licenses CANNOT be transfered. My question is: does this only apply to re-selling the license or moving it to new computer, same Adobe ID, too?

Do I have to proof, that I am a Student still ( which I am) to re-verify this product?

Hello, I am currently in  the process of transferring my adobe cs5 (educational version) to another computer as well. My concern is, I am no longer a student (at the moment), would I still be able to do the transfer?

Hi,

if you want to install the software on a new computer, deactivate the software on the computer on which you will no longer use the software. Start one application from your creative suite, choose "help > deactivate > deactivate permanently". This option deactivates the software and removes the licensing information from your computer.

After deactivation you can install CS5.5 to a new computer with your serial number.

"Educational versions of Adobe-branded products are not eligible for a transfer of license." ... means a transfer from you to another person. NOT a transfer from one of your computers to another.
