Trouble activating Premiere download

I purchased the PS/Premier elements directly from Adobe. Both are downloaded to my Windows laptop. Photo editor popped up with the serial number prompt as soon as I first opened it, but Premier is not doing that. It only prompts me to download the free trial. How do I open and activate Premier this first time? I have a serial number, but can't figure out where/how to enter it.
