trouble downloading elements 10

Sarted of with disc 1, everything runs fine until the box on the screen says "installing required shared technologies"  The whole installation then is rolled back and nothing is set up on the pc. Any ideas?????

    Which operating system are you using?  Do you have any earlier version of Elements installed?
