So here's the deal. Just got a new macbook pro, and now need to transfer/upload my CS5.5 to it. I spent all day following these instructions below.

Download CS5.5 products

ON THIS PAGE

Applies to: Creative Suite CS5.5

Thank you for purchasing an Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 product! Installation is quick and easy. If you purchased a retail licensed CS5.5 product and no longer have the installation media, you can download replacement installers from this page.

In forum discussions I've read in reference to my problem, there was a link you can click to download on this page next to the product. None on mine. I downloaded Creative Cloud to my desktop and still get the same results. Can someone shed any light on this??

I link i have provided contains the download link for Adobe CS5.5 so if it is not available under you registered products you may use the this link to download it, see the screen shots below:

Click on the CS 5.5 link:

Now click on the download file which is File 1 of 1 (2.9 gb) for Mac OSX to start the download.

You may refer to the following FAQ if you need installation instructions: How to download, install, and activate Adobe applications

If you have the latest Mac OS which is Mac OS Sierra or Mac OS High Sierra, then Creative Suite 5.5 is not compatible according to the system requirements as adobe has not tested them on the latest operating systems.See, Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard release notes.

However people have successfully installed and used these products on the latest operating systems as well so you may try installing them, If in case you face any trouble doing that then please refer to the link i have provided in my above post.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Kellyb0220,

Sorry that you are having trouble downloading you Adobe CS5.5 Design standard suite, please use the following link to download it: Download Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 products.

Adobe CS5.5 products are not tested on the latest operating systems by Adobe, hence they may or may not work, however if you face trouble installing you may try the troubleshooting shared here and see if that helps: Installing Creative Suite on macOS 10.12 (Sierra).

    Hope this helps.

Thank you for your reply, The site you provided me was the same one I started at when researching how to install on my new macbook.

When I saw my registered products on my account page on Adobe - i saw the CS5.5, but there was no link to re-download it to my new macbook. Should there be?

    Also--

    1. how + where do i find the place/link to "downloading the installation files, extract the files and install your product?"

    2. how do i know if my OS is compatible with the design suite from Adobe?

CS6 and earlier programs have not been tested and will not be updated for Mac El Capitan/Sierra

-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems due to Apple updates

-Apple did not maintain backward compatibility with old programs in El Capitan or Sierra

--Adobe has a workaround to Apple's problem of not maintaining backward compatibility
