Trouble installing Lightroom 4 to Mac OSX 10.6.3

I just upgraded to OSX 10.6.3 and lightroom 4 still isn't installing. I keep getting a message saying "The operation couldn't be completed. (com.apple.installer.pagecontroller error-1.) Couldn't open 'Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.pkg'."  I noticed when I go to my order and click download it brings me to a page with 3 options. Mac/Win, English, Windows, Multiple Languages, and Mac, Multiple Languages. The first option, Mac/Win, English has a serial number assigned to it and the other two do not, but when I go to download the first option with the serial number says not applicable next to it. The other two are available for download, but don't have a serial number next to them, Maybe that's part of the problem? I don't know what to do! Please help! Thanks!

    Thank you Cinbad60901 the screen shot is very small though so the error is almost unreadable unfortunately .

    Are you installing from a download or do you have the physical media?  I would recommend we start by getting a new copy of the install files.  You can download Lightroom 4.2 for Mac from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5487.  Once downloaded please try mounting the disc image and then try installing again.

    According to the minimum sytem requirements required for the

    Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4

    Mac OS

    • Multicore Intel processor with 64-bit support
    • Mac OS X v10.6.8 or v10.7
    • 2GB of RAM
    • 1GB of available hard-disk space
    • 1024x768 display
    • DVD-ROM drive
    • Internet connection required for Internet-based services*

    So the Minimum required is MAC 10.6.8 or 10.7

    I have upgraded to Mac OS X v10.6.8 with all the system requirements, & mine says it can't open the installer -1712 is the error. I am pulling my hair out here. Any help would be great. Thanks
