Trouble Installing Old Copy of PS CS4

I purchased a student version of Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended with "Learning Adobe Creative Suite 4" around 2009. I have the installation discs, product code, and serial number. I recently got a new Windows 10 computer and I have been unable to install my copy of Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended on the new computer.

I keep getting error messages such as "One or more required components of Adobe Photoshop CS4 failed to install correctly." I have made sure that there are no other programs running while trying to install PS CS4. I disabled my anti-virus and firewalls while trying to install PS CS4. I have tried restarting the installer and I have tried restarting the computer. I always get the same error messages and cannot complete the installation.

I appreciate any help you can offer.

    Added to what kglad said...

An idea that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10... works for some, not for others

-or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL permissions may help... says Encore, but sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account)
