Trying to get Photoshop 8.0 drive working in a different PC after motherboard failure...

I need help - my motherboard has failed in PCno1 and I have removed the hard drive and inserted it into another PC and have it up and running with the old drive as a second drive - and it is this second drive that contains the Photoshop.

I cant find the discs to reinstall photoshop so need to know how I get it up and running.

When I try to open photoshop, I see the startup logo, but the I get an error message saying 'cannot proceed due to missing or incomplete personal information' which I imagine relates to license?

Can anyone assist?

My wife needs this urgently for a competition submission!

Many thanks

Murray

I found the answer myself eventually in that CS2 is the equivalent of PS8.0 and is now a free download on the adobe site.

I lost a whole day, but grateful to have found the solution...

You need to install using installation files.

    Download and Installation Help -

    Thanks Ned

I will still need the serial number for this though, and it is now locked inside my drive until I can open PS. Unless you know where the serial number will be stored in the PS folders within my drive?

I cannot find the installation disc and packaging...

    Thanks

If the software was registered when it was installed then you might be able to find the serial number thru the Adobe account online that it was registered with.

You will not find the number stored in any folders in any form you can read.

I don't know if this will work for your situation, but...

If it's a Windows machine then try running Belarc Advisor
