Question

Trying to install AE CC on a 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5 iMac running Mavericks.

After I download AE CC, I doublecheck on the app in my doc and get this message, "You can't use this version of the application "Adobe After Effects CC.app" with this version of OS X.  You have "Adobe After Effects CC.app 12.0."

I know I need to install the 12.1.2 update but I can't get that to load either.  When I doubleclick the PatchInstaller I get the following error message, "Update Failed  Updates could not be applied.  This patch is not applicable for you.  Please check for updates from the Help menu in your product to see a list of latest updates available.  If the problems persist, contact customer support for futher assistance."

I've also tried to open Adobe Bridge and install the update from there but when I click Help>>Updates I get this error message, "Your application install seems to be damaged, (sic) Please reinstall the application."

Could someone please assist me to fixing these issues.

Thanks in advance,

Forgot to mention that I get the "Your appication install seems to damaged" message with other Adobe CC apps as well although I am able to use those without problems.  After Effects is not opening at all.

Ntegr8r have you tried running the uninstaller for After Effects in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder and then reinstalling?  You can also find more details on how to reinstall After Effects at CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html.
