Trying to Install CS6 Web Design Premium (Photoshop) on Mojave - "Installer Failed" eror

Hello

This is deja vu all over again, because I swear I hd this problem 3 years ago but I failed to record how I solved it so here I go again...

I have 10.14.6 Os X Mojave and I'm trying to install CS6 Web Design Premier, so I can reinstall Photoshop CS6 on this machine.

I successfully downloaded the dmg file, opened the installer, and when I run the installer I immediately got a pop up error as follows:

I then went down a rabbit hole of trying to find solutions in this forum, including:

  • installing from the terminal (new more verbose errors! see below)
  • restarting is safe mode and installing from the terminal (same error as in screenshot above)
  • installing aobe air help and then using the installer (same error)
  • following someone's random code to undo "apple quarantine":
    • sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine
    • ...and then installing from terminal (same more verbose errors! see below)

So I'm at a loss.

Can anyone please help me try to solve this?  I use photosop a lot and I would really like to get it running again.

The verbose error messages in terminal are copied below the fold.

Thanks for any assistance!!

Correct answer bugjah

thanks for that info!

p.s. the internet issue is that your os and/or default browser don't support adobe's security requirements.

I did find some forums that discussed browser security requirements (minimum TLS 1.2)- including a link to check one's browser.  Mine was compatible with TLS 1.3, so I don't think (?) it's the browser.

My OS is Mojave (10.14.6) which my simplistic thinking says should work since it worked before I uninstalled and reinstalled CS6.  But of course I can't say for sure. Especially since I don't remember what I did to successfully install it the first time a few years back :0

When I went through adobe's "offline activation" steps via my cel phone, I used Safari, since I figured that was standard enough to not trigger any issues.  And it worked.

UPDATE: I got it to work -- sort of!

I found yet another forum that said that I needed to install Java for OS X

I did and then launched the CS6 install in the terminal and it worked! Taking me to the activation screen.

I have a serial number! So I entered it and then  it accused me of not being connected to the Internet!

Arrrgh! Of course I am connected to the internet

I installed without connecting to the internet but now I think I have a trial period?

Help with this anyone?

Thanks!

RESOLVED!

As I mentioned above, installing Java got me through install, but an internet issue of some kind on my machine (one that other users with fine internet connections like I have have reported) prevented activation with my serial number.

So I went through the offline activation steps, which involved using my cel phone's internet connection to enter a code, enter my serial number, get a new code, which I then entered on the machine on which I'm trying to activate CS6 - and it worked.

I am installed, online, and all seems good.
