Trying to install Indesign CC

I am trying to install Indesign CC on my computer that has an expired version of CS6 on it already. When I try to download Indesign CC a box appears and tells me "the link need to be opened with an application."  What do I do? Do I need to remove the CS6 version first?

You need to instal lthe Creative Cloud app first.
