Trying to install Photoshop CS6

Purchased Photoshop CS6 upgrade disk from Adobe. Open folder on desk top and inside there is a blue folder labled Adobe Photoshop CS6, a Installation Instructions.pdf, ps_cs6finder-header-generic.png, and a pdf file with what look like japanese letters.

When I open the blue folder it is empty. The other 3 open. When I get info for the blue folder its shows 0 bytes. How do I install CS6?

What you could try is to download the trial version from the Adobe site and see if that installs.  If it installs you should be able to activate that using your serial number from the one you purchased.

Meanwhile, as far as what the disc doesn't seem to have, you might want to try contacting support directly to see what's up with that if no one else here is able to answer for that.   It might just be a case where the Install.app file is treated as a hidden file for some reason when your machine tries to read the disc.

Have you tried reading the installation instructions pdf that you say is there?

Ned,

I have read the installation instructions pdf. For the Mac it says "Double-click the Install.app to begin the installation." There is nothing on the DVD except the empty blue folder, the English pdf file, the png file and the pdf with what looks like Japanese letters and instructions. All of these open but there is nothing in the blue folder labled Adobe Photoshop CS6. It is empty, just a blank white screen.
