Question

Trying to migrate from old Macbook Pro to new one, how do I enter serial #?

I recently used apple's Migrate feature to move to my new MBP:  When I first opened Photoshop CS4 Extended, a serial number entry window popped up, but at the time I didn't have time to dig out my discs and just closed out of it.  When I had all the needed info at hand and tried it again, can't find where to enter the info.

Perhaps I need to deactivate the original instance in my original HD (now replaced by an SSD), which is still accessible as an (unused) USB drive.

Any advice on how to check to see if this is the problem, and how to go about this would be most appreciated.

The problem will likely turn out to be migrasting instead of installing.  You need to install Adobe products, transferring them seldom works.  Uninstall what you have now and reinstall using installation files.

You should deactivate the original insdtallation if you have no plan to use it any longer, but you are allowed to have two activated installations in the event you would like a backup installation available.
