Trying to open Lightroom

I've been trying to open Lightroom. In the past, I'd get a "pop-up" that reads, "Adobe Application Manger, required to start your trial is missing or damaged. Please download a new copy of Adobe Application manager from http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager," and without downloading a new copy, would still have access to the application. However, as of today, that hasn't been the case. I have also redownloaded about three times now and am still having issues. Could it be, perhaps, that my free month trial has expired, which is why I am unable to get into Lightroom at all? Thanks!
