Trying to reinstall CS6 on my Macbook Pro and I receive the following message:

Installation on case-sensitive volumes is not supported.  Please choose a different volume for installations.

    Except it doesn't say anything about how to change from case-sensitive, or how to 'Install the product onto an HFS+ or HFSJ non-case-sensitive drive.'

    I've seen this and mine is definitely set to case-sensitive.  I have no idea how to change that.

    I suspect that at some point your hard disk was re-formatted using the case-sensitive file system as it's not the standard format for new Macs. There's no alternative but to re-format the whole drive using another format (probably Mac OS Extended Journaled) as Adobe software can't be installed otherwise. You'll have to re-instal everything from scratch I'm afraid.
