Trying to upgrade CC suite from 2014 to 2015 and install hangs with no error message. Tried Cleaner app but it wouldn't run. Recent iMac running Yosemite

Hello,

I have tried to upgrade my 2014 CC applications to 2015 but no-go. The installer just hangs with no error message.  Tried the Adobe cleaner app... but it asks if it can run, I type in my username and password but it won't go any farther.

What am I missing here?
