Turning subscription plans off and on as needed?

Can I turn a subscription for one software on and off as needed? Say I've shot the footage for a short film. So I get Premier and use it for 2 months. But then I know that I don't need it for 6 months, so I turn it off. Then I shot another short film and need it for a couple months again, repeat. Can I do that? I'm disabled and money is really tight.

If you have an old Premiere which doesn't work, it may have been made for older systems. You might be able to get an old computer AND old system (both needed) for a small sum or from a friend's attic, and then run your old software on it.

It's not quite the same level, but may be Premiere Elements would be fine for you.

Got it. Thanks. Money is so tight that neither looks doable. Sucks to be disabled.

Too bad that my old version of Premier which I BOUGHT doesn't work anymore.

Hi,

You can do that but you have to buy a monthly contract without subscription that you can stop whenever you want and restart it whenever you want. Be careful, you have to stop it yourself, it does not stop alone.

To emphasise: you CANNOT do this with the cheaper "annual, paid monthly" plans. These you promise to pay for the whole year.
