Question

UI scaling, state of neglect

Adobe suite does not scale properly in Windows. Dialogs, toolbars and other elements are bugged and oriented offscreen. The resust is often a complete loss of functionality.

Adjusting the OS scaling settings in an unacceptable work-around that renders the OS in an unoptimized state outside of adobe products. Support also recommended I change my monitor resolution, another unaccaptable work-around. I bought a 4k monitor specifically for editing graphics and video, but unfortuntately adobe has not programmed their software to support UHD screens.

It's time adobe recognises this pitfall as a glaring flaw in their product instead of putting the burden on its customers.

@Ryan23222673v0ku,

I have no such problems with latest Creative Cloud apps.

Which Adobe Apps and versions are you using? And which version of Windows?

Legacy Creative Suite is NOT Hi-DPI aware and it never will be because it's discontinued & unsupported software.

OPTION 1: Reduce your display's screen resolution at the OS level

OPTION 2: Increase text & icon scale to 125-150%.  This may have other consequences however, such as truncated panels.

OPTION 3: Use Windows Magnifier (Win key + plus sign) to facilitate easier viewing at normal resolution & scale.

Hope that helps.
