I am unable to activate my Dreamweaver CS5 after re-installing it on the same computer where I have used it.  The system is saying “Activation limit reached”, but I only have it on this computer.

Thanks for posting, @nikal65447304  , and thank you to @John T Smith  for helping identify the cause of the activation issue.

I understand how frustrating this can be when you're simply trying to use Dreamweaver CS5 on a new computer.

The activation error is occurring because all available activations for this perpetual Dreamweaver CS5 license are currently in use. To activate Dreamweaver on the new computer, you'll need to complete the deactivation process on at least two previously activated systems before attempting activation again.

For additional details about activation limits and instructions on deactivating older installations, please see:

Once the required deactivations have been completed, you should be able to activate Dreamweaver CS5 on the new computer using your existing serial number.

I hope this information helps. Thanks again to @John T Smith for helping point you in the right direction. If you have any additional questions about the deactivation process, please reply here, and the community will be happy to help.

if that’s the only computer that’s ever had an activation, you can’t recover an activation.

If you did not properly DE-activate to change your activation count there is nothing anyone can do
