I have installed Lightroom 5 on my old MacPro (macOS High Sierra Ver: 10.13.6) but application rejects an original Serial number.

Please advise.

Thank you,

Yakov

They are not supported in any way for use on macOS Catalina. Adobe does not recommend that customers using old versions of Lightroom upgrade to macOS Catalina. Older versions use 32-bit licensing components and installers. Therefore, they cannot be installed and activated after upgrading to macOS Catalina.

Where did you purchase it?

Is it a 24 digit serial number or a 20 character (alpha-numeric) redemption code?

If it was purchased directly from Adobe and you registered your software, there might be a record of your serial number online.  Log-in below.

Hi Nancy,

I’ve purchased Lightroom 5 at B&H Photo Video store and install one copy on IMac. It was in 2013 and I do not remember if I even registered the software.
Was hoping to install second copy on MacPro for my daughter.

I was able to pull 24 digits serial number from IMac but the installation on MacPro did not authenticate serial number.

Thank you
Yakov

What do you mean rejects? Is there an error message? Did you register Lightroom with Adobe and have you contacted their support team?
