Unable to activate macromedia dreamweaver mx 2004

Hi

Windows was upgraded to win 7 due to which i have to reinstall macromedia dreamweaver mx again.  I am unable to activate the sofware using the serial number which was working earlier.   Every time i try, " Unable to connect to the internet" error is shown when there is no problem with the internet.  I was not able to activate using phone either. 

When i contacted an adobe agent online.  This is the reply i received "  we don't have live support for Macromedia product, you will have to troubleshoot the issue in the forum."
