Question

Unable to connect to Adobe to validate and run my installed CS6.

I’m getting an error message when I try to connect the computer my CS6 is installed on to the Adobe validation servers to validate its s/n. I have tried EVERY troubleshooting step Adobe suggests to fix this fix, but the problem persists. And it persists because, although Adobe has all the info they need to verify that I am the tranferee and the new owner of the software, the company refuses to do so by taking refuge in "We no longer support this version."  They would rather try to force folks to buy a subscription than do the ethical thing and stand by their customers. So he almighty dollar wins again! What a shameful state of affairs.

Server won't connect

TLS 1.2 is now required to connect https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/eol-tls-support.html
-If you have Windows 7 be sure to do the EASYFIX.MSI in step 2 of the above link
-test your browser https://clienttest.ssllabs.com:8443/ssltest/viewMyClient.html

John, thank you for your quick and link-able reply.  I checked out all the links in it and didn't find a solution, alas. If it's any help to you, I'm using Firefox 115.16.1esr (64-bit) under Mac OS 10.13.6.  I'm told my user agent supports TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3, which "are recommended protocol version at the moment."  Also, the Java dmg installer I used to run CS6 on a different machine says "Java for macOS 2017-001 installs the legacy Java SE 6 runtime."

As I mentioned in my intial  post, I'm still unable to connect to the validation server, which I guess pertains to "Error code 206: No Network connection or server disconnection." So call me Mr. Stumped. For now, anyway.
