Unable to download free trial of Illustrator

I don't seem to be able to download a free trial of Illustrator, I go to the page and it says it is downloading on the webpage but nothing actually happens. I have an adobe ID and already have photoshop CS6 installed on my macbook pro (late 2013), I bought the disk when it first came out, would this affect the trial download?

    CS6 has nothing to do with CC. The rest is to vague. did you actually install the Creative Cloud app? Try another browser? Check your internet connection?
