unable to download photoshop

I just purchased a new computer (HP Spectre) and   have installed Creative Cloud, Lightroom and Bridge but Photoshop downloads very slowly and has gotten "stuck" now 3 times at varying levels of download My download speed is 13.7 MBPS- not lightning speed but respectable.

Anyone else have this problem? Fixes?

Dianermiller43 and JoseR868686, did the new computers come with security software that may be interfering and slowing down the download and install process?  

 

There have been some recent reports of Bitdefender causing problems again.  You may want to try temporarily disabling Bitdefender to see if it resolves the slow performance that you are both currently experiencing.  Previously, Bitdefender has been bundled with new computers which is why it may be the source of the current performance issues.

Hi Jeff,

The only security software I have is Windows Defender. I did disable it yesterday but the apps still hung at 37% (Lightroom Classic) and 44% (Photoshop). I have now installed both of the apps via the direct download links however getting the updated versions has been a pain. After several tries I got the updates for Photoshop and Camera Raw but Lightroom Classic's update still hangs at 37%.

Ok, thanks, JoseR868686, unfortunately being stuck at a certain percentage does not provide any guidance on how to resolve the errors you are facing.  Please check the logs that are created as part of the installation process.  You can find more information at  https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-download-install-log-files.html.

 

If you have any questions regarding the errors that you discovered, then please update this public discussion with the specific error message.

I just had this happen to me today too (also with a brand new computer). I got photoshop by using a direct download link from: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-apps-download.html
I had to try about 4 times for the photoshop update to work but eventually it did.
I'm now trying to download the LR Classic CC update but it hangs at 37%.
