Unable to download Photoshop Elements 12 on Windows 8.1 64 bit. [was: downloading]

Is the new Photoshop Elements 12 compatible with Windows 8.1 on a 64 bit computer?  Purchase product on 7/15 and have not yet been able to successfully download and register, etc.

    Yes.

    Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 for Mac, Windows, PC - Tech specs

    have not yet been able to successfully download and register, etc.

    What problem are you having exactly? Any error codes or error messages?

    I finally succeeded in downloading the 2 files via the alternative to the Akamai method (that doesn't work for above Windows 7).  Now I can't get to the activation screen. to register, etc.  I need HELP!!!
