Unable to get ExtendScript Debugger for VSCode working.

I've uninstalled and re-installed the plugin, I've uninstalled ESTK, but I am unable to make the plugin work.  The "Select the target application" does nothing (apart from highlight) I've tried manually adding a targetSpecifier but have no luck.  Is there official support for this extension?
