Unable to install Photoshop CS5 up-grade on a new computer. [was: Fairrel]
I can't install Photoshop CS5 up-grade on a new computer. Any suggestions?

My CS5 up-grade ran on Windows Vista and Windows 7. My CS3
up-grade probably ran on Windows XP many years ago. It was so long
ago I honestly don't remember. I originally got Photoshop in
2001 and don't know what happened to that original
CD. Everything I've had since then has been an up-grade.
My new computer is running Windows 8.1 and that's where I'm trying to
install my Photoshop CS5 up-grade software.
I understand that Adobe can resolve the serial number problem but my
efforts to reach someone at Adobe for several weeks has been
fruitless. When I call their customer service number I always get
someone in India and always get put on hold and they never come
back. If I could get in touch with someone at Adobe in the United
States I think I could at least get a final answer but that doesn't seem to
be possible.
I appreciate that you guys have tried to help and sorry that I have been a
bother. At this point I don't have a clue where to turn
next.
Thanks.
