Unable to re-download CS5.5 Creative Suite Design Standard

Unfortunately, we were recently burgled and my laptop (containing downloaded CS5.5 tools) and backup drives (with the stored versions) have all been taken. I need to re-download InDesign and Photoshop to my new laptop.

When I go to "Plans and Products" I can view the Creative Suite Design Standard and the Serial Number, but there seems no function to re-download to my new machine. Is it possible this is because allowed activations have been exceeded? If so, would be happy to switch off the version on my stolen machines!

I've trawled through Help discussions but some similar discussions don't assist. Thank you..Gavin

CS6 and earlier programs have not been tested and will not be updated for Mac El Capitan/Sierra

-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems due to Apple updates

-Apple did not maintain backward compatibility with old programs in El Capitan or Sierra

--Adobe has a workaround to Apple's problem of not maintaining backward compatibility

--READ HERE https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2301916 for an Adobe solution to installing old programs, including a link to installing the old Java runtime that is required

no.  if that were the problem you'd see an excess activation message.

Single user licensee downloadable installation files available:

Download and installation help for Adobe links

Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.

And a big thank you to Jim @ Prodesigntools for helping me with these links!

Hi - apologies for delayed update as it took a week to re-establish a broadband connection to re-attempt download.

The package appears to download OK from the links above, but get an error message when clicking the 'install' icon: "Install" can't be opened. You should eject the Disk Image. "Install" is on the disk image "InDesign_7_5_LS1.dmg".

Options are provided to 'Cancel' or to 'Eject Disk Image' - neither of these lead to success.

Welcome further advice/help, if available!  Thank you...Gavin
