This has been going on for months now–I am unable to open the Adobe Creative Cloud app, which means I am also unable to download new apps from within it or update the ones I already have downloaded. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A couple of questions.

Is this on a notebook or a desktop computer?

Have you done as suggested in the Warning/Error dialog window? IE Adjusted your firewalll settings?

If a notebook have you tried taking your notebook to a friends house or business that has a internet connection and tried from there?

I suspect it is something wrong with your computer, your router (Internet Appliance) or your connection to the internet. Taking it someplace else and testing if you get that same error then it IS something in/on your computer.

Are you connected by WiFi or Ethernet cable?

It is a Mac laptop, and it has displayed this message while on multiple
different wifi’s in multiple different locations. I have tried to see if
the Firewall was the problem but that does not seem to be the case.

IF you have tried from multiple locations then it is something on your system that is causing it. If it has been happening for a while what did you do just before this started?

Did you update the version of OS X on your Mac?

The old version of the CC DTA won't run/open/work on Catalina. But I haven't heard of that error before with the older version of the CC DTA.

You could try the CC cleaner tool and then try downloading the newest CC DTA directly from Adobe.

Let me move this to the Getting Started forum for you, where you are more likely to receive an answer to your question.

Note that the Community Help forum is for help in how to use the Adobe Communities. Product questions should be posted in the associated product community. Getting Started seems to be the designated forum for Creative Cloud questions.
