Question

Unable to register my serial number on my new computer despite de-activating it in the old computer

I have reinstalled Adobe XI Pro but when I try to register the product it says that my serial number is already in use. I have already de-activated the same serial number in my old computer AND unistalled the program in the OLD computer. Can you please help? I can provide the serial number as well if needed and tried to call the Adobe Help Line but was advised that for this product, I need to post here.

See the note about communication with Adobe's servers in this (TLS requirement)
Adobe policy is that manual adjustment of an activation count is now not done

p.s. this should be discussed in the download & install forum, https://community.adobe.com/download-install-615

deactivating requires a computer that meets adobe’s security standards, https://community.adobe.com/t5/download-install-discussions/activation-limit-reached-for-non-subscription-adobe-desktop-applications/td-p/14804413?linkId=100000376554410

there’s no other option.  once you attempt to deactivate with a computer that fails to convey the deactivation to adobe’s servers, that computer can no longer be used to restore an activation.
