Question

Unable to reinstall Adobe CS6 Design Standard

Hi there. I got a new macbook air two months ago and successfully reinstalled my Adobe CS6 Design Standard via the file on this website. After a couple weeks, my Design Standard files suddenly stopped working on my computer so I reimaged my entire computer and have been trying to reinstall Design Standard ever since.

I keep getting the following error message but "Adobe Support Advisor" no longer works, phone and chat support are no longer available for this product, and I keep getting disconnected when I call tech support.

I've already uninstalled and reinstall all my Adobe files (Creative Cloud desktop apps, cc cleaner tool, etc.) multiple times but continue to receive this installation error for the Design Standard. Since I absolutely need these programs, I was forced to purchase the Adobe Illustrator on a monthly subscription and that installed and started working perfectly. This tells me that everything on my mac is functioning fine in regards to Adobe products. So why is the design standard installation no longer working? I purchased this full Adobe Creative license just a couple years ago and expect it to continue to be honored. Please advise.

Owners of CS6 (and earlier) simply have problems with Mac El Capitan/Sierra... none of which is Adobe's fault... Adobe did not change your old program to make it stop working... Apple changed their operating system and THAT is why your old program won't work, not because of anything Adobe did... Also... every time Apple issues an update, there is the risk that an old program that HAS been working will STOP working... bottom line, old programs require a matching old operating system

Just because an old program worked once is no guarantee that it will continue working

CS6 and earlier programs have not been tested and will not be updated for Mac El Capitan/Sierra

-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems

-you may get CS6 and earlier programs to install and run, or you may not (some do, some don't)

    -Java https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/dreamweaver-java-se-6-runtime.html may help

Thanks, those pages helped and I believe it's installing fine on my mac now!
