Unable to Reinstall Photoshop after wiping Mac

Hello,

i just had my MacBook Pro wiped and basically reset along with a new updated version of OS X. (Was previously the old Lion 10.5., now OS X El Capitan 10.11.6). After all was complete, I attempted to reinstall Photoshop CS5 that I previously had via the Adobe website, but am receiving an error message stating “Install” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should eject the disk image." after i double click the install icon.

I have the serial number from my original purchase. Is there any way i can reinstall the CS5 version i previously had?

The following posting might help, but upgrading an OS is not always the best bet for older software.

OSX El Capitan - Adobe CS5 Suite - compatible?
