Unable to reload plug ins, scripts

I downloaded AE cc 2015, Hated it. I went back and installed cc 2014. Was unable to drag and drop plug-ins, etc, successfully. So I un-installed cc2015. Now I can't get any of my scripts or plugs in, including VFX and 3D camera, as well as things like Duik, etc. to be recognized.

Do I uninstall 2014 and then reinstall it and all my plug ins? Will I lose access to any of the projects I created on cc2014 that is installed now?
