Unable to update Creative Cloud

When I launch Creative Cloud I get a pop up saying that an update is available. When I click to update the Creative Cloud Desktop window says "Loading Creative Cloud" and it just sits there. I've let it run for an hour with no progress. I've rebooted my computer. I've tried direct downloading a fresh install of Creative Cloud but it stops at 20% when installing, yesterday it stopped consistently at 16.4%.

 

I've wandered around Google and haven't found anything. Ultimately I just need to add Adobe Rush and am uninterested in updating Creative Cloud.

I had a similar issue.

Make sure that you have all Windows updates that are available.

The one thing that was causing it for me, believe it or not, was that I needed to do a clean installation of the latest Studio graphics driver from the NVIDIA website. After doing that and restarting, all was OK.
