Question

uninstall

In the creative cloud app I keep getting update notices for older versions of P/S and L/R. I've updated both to the current revs but the older versions didn't go away as they do with most apps. I see that in the CC update there is an "uninstall" option in the dots next to the blue update button. If I use those to uninstall the older versions will my current versions be unaffected, including my plug-ins?

Owing to Adobe's new version policy, I like to keep old versions installed until I'm certain I won't need them again.   I have plenty of HD space so it's not a problem.   When I eventually decide to remove old versions, I uninstall from my operating system settings .  But you can uninstall from CC desktop app, too.  Your choice.

3rd party extensions or add-ons need to be installed on the new version.

Tinars, the Creative Cloud for Desktop app, allows old versions to be left installed when updating to major new versions. You can find information on how to control this setting at https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html.

You can use the steps listed in https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html to remove any Adobe CC applications that you no longer want to be installed on the computer.
