Uninstall only partially working. Freezing -leaving me stuck with parts of products on my system.

Yesterday one of your chat support staff members (Shilpa - June 11, 2016 : 24:15am EST) insisted I download 'Adobe Application Manager' and with it came Adobe Creative Cloud, which I had not seen on my computer before. Downloading that has achieved precisely nothing and in fact seems to have made matters worse.

I am still trying to uninstall CS6, but something is happening and freezing and blocking the uninstall part way through, and it will just sit like that for literally hours on my screen going nowhere.

So now I have lost the perfectly good Photoshop CS6, which was the only program that was working fine. InDesign and Illustrator both failed to open and continued to come up with "Error 5" message which I was asked to report in the support, but nothing has been done about it.

These are the programs stuck on my computer - which I cannot uninstall:

Adobe Media Encoder CS6 - media encoder

                                                   - configuaration

Adobe Bridge CS6                 - Bridge CS6

                                                   - Legal - Plug ins  - Presets  - Required

Adobe Extension Manager   - Extension Manager CS6

                                                   -  Legal  - Resources

Adobe Creative Cloud            -  Creative Cloud

                                                    - Uninstaller

However when I try to use the Creative Cloud Uninstaller, it comes up with this message :

"Couldn't uninstall Creative Cloud for desktop. You still have Creative Cloud Applications installed on your computer that require it."

Catch 22. I can't uninstall these other applications and can't uninstall the Creative Cloud.

Could someone at Adobe actually help me to solve these issues please???

Thanks,

Tony

Adobe Application Manager is very essential application which manages processes like Installation , Download , Activation , Update...etc.

Adobe Creative Cloud is nothing updated version of Adobe Application Manager. Once you installed Adobe Application Manager , it has automatically got updated to Adobe Creative Cloud app, which is usual , no need to worry bout it.

Regarding uninstallation process , have you tried Adobe Cleaner tool ??

    http://download.macromedia.com/SupportTools/Cleaner/mac/AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.dmg

[ Do not select Clean all option unless it is necessary , bcoz , if you select clean all option , it will remove all Adobe apps installed ]

Also , if you wish to uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud app , you may use CCUn-installer and try once:

Uninstall the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application

If you still get Error 5 while launch apps even after uninstalling and reinstalling  , let us know.

Being able to open and work with the programs as they are designed.  Quite a simple goal.
