Question

Uninstalling CC apps from Mac

I just updated my CC app as I was still using the old one with CS6 apps. After updating I saw that there are new app versions that have "CC" at the end instead of "CS6". I tried updating them, but the updates were CS6 updates, so I moved the CS6 apps to the trash and deleted them. Unfortunately when I click the CC drop down it still says that I have these apps installed under the "your apps" tab. How do I remove these apps from this dropdown as they are very annoying. Thanks.

This is a complete nightmare for me. I downloaded CC to try it out, hated it and removed it. Except that now I can't use my CS6 suite at all; it keeps looking for my "Subscription information" even though I cancelled it.

It counted down for a month, a bit worrying so I spent an hour on the phone to Adobe, was reassured that once a month has passed it will be ok. Now it doesn't work at all.

Ive tried uninstall, Ive tried the cleaner app, to no avail. However (no surprise), if I pay for a subscription it all works just fine. Once I cancel that the countdown begins again

So I am left with the impression that Adobe are trying to lock all of their users in to the cloud" (aka subscription) version of the products that I have used happily since the 90s. And aren't worried about winding us all up in the process.

Next step - wipe my machine and reinstall from the DVD (remember those?)

Thanks Adobe.

Sorry to hear about the difficulties. Does this help?

Hi AnAngryPillock,

In order to uninstall Adobe applications you can go to

Finder--->Applications--->Utilities--->Adobe Installers

There you will find the uninstallers for all the Adobe CS6 applications installed in your Mac. You just need to run them one by one.

After you have uninstalled all the applications you can then install the CC apps.

Thanks

Okay that got rid of everything except for lightroom 4.1 which doesn't have an uninstaller.
