Uninstalling CS4 on new computer after mistakenly using Migration Assistant

As I've since learned, I made the mistake of using Migration Assistant for all my applications when I transferred to a newer mac pro.

That included CS4. It's ok that it no longer works as I will install CS6 Production Premium which I have in disc form.

All I want to do at this point is uninstall the non-functioning CS4.

I tried the Adobe cleaner tool but I still can't uninstall CS4. The first time I ran it it looks like it cleaned several applications.

I thought that may have fixed the problem but now when I click on uninstall for each application, nothing happens.

I've tried to subsequently run the cleaner tool and it no longer lists any items I need to clean like it did the first time I ran it.

I've read many discussions but I can't seem to find an answer that works.

Thanks for any insight you can provide!

properly install cs4 (to install working uninstallers), and then uninstall and clean.

Downloadable installation files available:

Download and installation help for Adobe links

Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.

Thank you for your help!

I properly installed cs4 and then did an uninstall (it let me do it which is much better than when nothing happened!).

However, I still saw all the cs4 programs in my applications folder.

I ran Adobe Cleaner Tool and then checked the log to see if anything failed. It all seemed to work.

However, I still see all the cs4 programs in my applications folder.

I'm not sure why. Can I just trash them at this point?

yes, those are probably not installed programs anyway.  they were just moved to your computer.
