Unique Identification

Heya, I am trying to find out more information with regards to unique identification.

With a few designers making changes to artwork (let's say any application), is there a way/ option to uniquely identify who has worked on a file? or who was the last person to do changes to artwork?

If I select "User" and insert my name, does this option stay as my "user" or does it change, when another user opens my file on another Mac?

There is another option under "File Info", under Author where I can insert my name...... anyway, my question boils down to: Can/ do the Creative Cloud Apps not add info in the documents meta tags that state I was the last person to change the document? .... as we sign in already.
