Unknown Error (Error code P1)

Hi Adobe Staff,

I also have an error when installing the CreativeCloudSet-Up.exe file. I click to install and nothing happens, even when my administrator tries to install.

Then I tried to install Photoshop using the Photoshop_Set-Up.exe file, and after I log in, I get this error:

Sorry, installation failed

An unknown error has occurred. (Error Code: P1)

I have tried all of the above solutions, and am still in the same situation.

Please help?

This error may be received if one tries to install Creative Cloud on standard machine account. Please log in into administrator account (Just providing Admin credentials in standard user account won't work). Try installing Creative Cloud. If it is successful, you can switch to standard account and use Creative Cloud for downloading products.

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud using admin account*

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

*for info on how to use admin account, see solution 3 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html
