Unwanted spam from Adobe

I recently had the misfortune of updating adobe... it crashed my computer... had to spend the better part of a day on the phone with company IT support to untangle the mess... since the re-install, each time i launch a browser it opens additional windows and takes me to adobe's sell website... 

IT IS ANNOYING, INTRUSIVE & UNWANTED.

How do i stop adobe from using this predatory practice on my computer.
