Update/Continuous support for CS5 and alike

Many years ago I purchased original Adobe Application for pictures and web-design, then I had CS3 and also CS5 which are still useful for my limited needs, but I am disappointed that ADOBE is not extending the respectful service or UPDATE for us, and has moved into cloud applications which are not an attractive option for casual users which may be the larger market (Unless people just surrender and pay each month, more then I pay for all the services of my www server).   This disappointment, has caused me to use WordPress and other competitive FREE applications, but I am hoping there are some clients as well as managers/developers at Adobe who can offer updates to us who supported them in the past on the way, and where CS5 for example is still as good as I/and others may need for our work on the www and computers.

Correct answer Ned Murphy

There is no chance of old products being updated to work with newer technologies.  That is what they invent new versions for.  It happens with most products, as does the disappointment felt by those who decided to not keep up with the changes over time.

Hi AmnonMichaelCohen.
Wouldn't it be a contradiction not to upgrade the Adobe App while the OS upgraded to support the new technology?
Certainly, subscriptions may be reluctant, but I can't help staying at macOS 10.14 forever, so I'm hoping to return to Adobe products again.

The Apple OS Upgrade is not superior computing but more towards the social and marketing plus exploitation, and may have some more bugs fixed - but as computers user since 1984, the write and pain/draw as well as movie editing and mostly music creation had progressed with more options and quality but not as much in basic key capabilities to actually do what we expect from computers.  Another area is web-design which has newer looks yet my oldest websites still are as effective in what I am sharing or posting, and the same is in my oldest videos, and only in music we have come farther as well as AI in general.
So for me, even without the loss of ability to use my CS5 on the new Mac OS, the new Mac OS is not offering superior computing.   When I travel, I take my MacBook with OS 10.7.5 which still does all the basic www plus other work I need from a computer - and this, for security/safety reasons in case of potential theft of the laptop I am traveling with.

Yes, in the past, I was as fast as most of us to update and upgrade and buy the best latest technologies but over the last 37 years I have learned to be wiser as a consumer who had paid few times for the same thing in a newer version.

Thanks Ned on your care and for your reply.    I am thinking of newer OS and not newer technologies.

The reason I have not updated my Mac to the newest OS is the loss of use of my existing CS5 software which works almost well on my OS 10.14.6 which in part is not up-to-date as it is on my older Macs with older operating systems like 10.10

Maybe some day, I shall need to prescribe to the cloud for 30-60 days so to upgrade my websites, but most of my old and very old websites do what I need.

My point is that I have always liked Adobe products, but the competition may get my attention if the costs are not flexible to actual need to use the software.
