Update does not work anymore

Since a couple of weeks, update in "Creative Cloud" app on a Mac does not work anymore. It shows available update, but neither pressing the button nor auto-update do anything. No error message.

Anybody faced the same problem? Any idea on a solution?

try resetting the cc app: To reset the Creative Cloud desktop app, make sure it's in the foreground, then press:

Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R

if that fails, try to repair

if that fails go ahead and uninstall/reinstall per the above link

if that fails, do a clean cc install following each applicable step:

uninstall every cc app including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html
clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
check for, and if available, update your os
restart your computer (don't skip this)
reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.
if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)
use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

Ressetting had no effect but repairing obviously helped, it is updating now.

Still a bit strange, that there was no error message at all, just no reaction...

i don't know why that happened, but am glad to hear it's working now.

 

if you can, save this link because whatever broke your cc app (eg, av) is probably still lurking.

for many adobe programs your need 10.14 or 10.15

 

what's your os version and what program are you trying to update?

'm running 10.15 and it worked for a long time until the latest realeses (like PS 22.0.0).
I tried "Update All", as well as all the other five available updates. Also, I enabled auto-update. Sorry for the German, "Aktualisieren" means "Update".
