Yes, I've been dealing with this for many months. We have tried an alternative internet connection which seemed to work.
See my previous response regarding my normal connection.

Ok Paul then it is likely the difficulties you are facing are primarily due to the stability of your network connection. I would recommend moving the computer to location which has a stable Internet connection to download and apply the updates.
Licensing requests should be less affected by the stability of the Internet connection due to the small amount of data being sent. I would recommend seeing if you continue to face the same errors once you are on a stable Internet connection.
