Update problem - Lightroom 6.0-6.13

hi..

I recently bought the Lightroom 6.0.

Shortly after a succesfull installation, Lightroom suggested an update, which turned out to be a trial for new upgrade to CC, which I would have bought in the first place if I was interested in that. I am not.. Every thing worked fine, and I could now upload pictures from Canon EOS 5D lV. After the trial period ran out, the problems started.. The app did not go back to previus Lightroom 6 mode. After having tried ´every thing´, I deleted Lightroom, and made a new install from scratch..

Problem is, that I am not allowed to install the upgrade 6.13, which include Canon EOS 5D lV. The upgrade patchinstaller claims that Adobe Application Manager is corrupted.., and Adobe Creative Cloud only suggest Lightroom CC as update.

Also I can only open  lightroom when rightcliccling - open as administrator..

I would really appriciate some help before I go crazy and leave Lightroom in the trashcan..!

Best regards

Ole

    Hi John and Bani..,

Many thanks for adressing the links. They turned out very usefull :-) The update problem is solved.

What worked for me, is this:

I deleted Adobe Creative Cloud, and there after I ´signed out´, closed Lightroom, opened Lightroom again, and signed in. The second time I did this, Lightroom itself, located the update 6.13 via help/ updates. Fantastic..

My second problem; Lightroom crasches on startup is still there. It may be a completely different matter, so..

    I ´solved´ this by a permanent ´open as administrator´ link.

    So I´m happy again.

    THANKSSS..
